  • Paul Sterrett

    OUR PASTORS ARE ALSO ELDERS AND SERVE ON THE ELDER BOARD

    Paul is the founding and Lead Pastor of Life Spring. He has a BBA in finance from Washburn University and spent 20 years in the insurance claims industry. He attended seminary and pastored in Arkansas, before returning to the Kansas City area in 1997. In 2006, Paul was called by Olathe Bible Church as the pastor of their new church plant in Spring Hill. Paul likes grilling, reading and football (especially Chiefs football). He and Kim have one daughter, Kacie and son-in-law Andrew Haeker. They also have two grandsons, Knox and Beau.

  • Dennis Burd

    Associate Pastor/Director of Worship & Youth Ministries

    Our Pastors are also Elders and serve on the Elder board

    Dennis graduated from Calvary Bible College with a degree in Secondary Education and he has been working with youth and leading worship for over 20 years. Dennis loves hanging out with his wife, Angela, playing guitar and disc golf, and is a fan of the Royals and Chiefs. Dennis and Angela have two sons, Keston & Taenen and one daughter, Zaliya.

Elders

Life Spring is governed by a Board of Elders, with Christ as the Head of the Church. The Elders, including our Pastors, provide Spiritual oversight of our church family. They also serve as the shepherds of God's flock, tending to the spiritual needs of the congregations. Each Elder is assigned a number of Church Families whom they shepherd in accordance with our Shepherding Ministry Plan. 

The Life Spring family is encouraged to contact our Elders in times of spiritual need. In addition to contacting Pastor Paul or Pastor Dennis, please feel free to contact any of our Elders.
Our Elder Shepherding Plan is designed to assist you in deciding who to contact when assistance is needed. (For example, if your last name begins with "S", you would contact John Chamberlain.)

our deacons

Deacons, along with Pastors and Elders, are one of two church offices specifically mentioned in Scripture (Acts 6:1-6)


Our Deacons serve the physical and material needs of the church. They oversee the physical plant of the church campus, look out for the physical needs of our members and serve as the benevolence committee.
